The whole Coca-Cola Co. effort, aka “Expedition 206,” shows that a big-name brand is ready to venture deep into the social media. Coca Cola Co. hopes that this will generate lot of buzz around consumers and sales. The trip around the world is quite ambitious and is involving staying in some countries for just a day or two.

The three bloggers will be chosen by online method of voting starting this Wednesday and will have to spend the entire year visiting different countries and travelling. The bloggers will be paid a salary. The company would not disclose to anyone any figures on how much the bloggers are getting. The bloggers will enjoy meeting with the local people, and also taking part in exicting events like the Winter Olympics in Vancouver of 2010.
